Dalyn Htet

Dalyn has been in the industry and grew up around it most of her life. She has watched her mom, Shonda, successfully build and grow Affordable Striping & Sealing, starting from the spare bedroom in their house. Dalyn is our Accounting manager and learning the business in hopes to follow in her mom’s footsteps someday. She loves working for Affordable Striping & Sealing because it is a family business. One of the best parts for Dalyn is it is a team full of women in a predominantly male run industry.

Before settling into the family business, Dalyn moved to Reno for college after high school and graduated from UNR with a BA in journalism. While in college she studied abroad in Spain. She loves to travel internationally and has done most of her travels backpacking as a solo traveler, staying in hostels. She has been to 40 countries, all over Europe and Asia. She met her husband, Shine, on a backpacking trip to Thailand on the island Koh Phi Phi and canceled her plane ticket back to America. She lived in Asia (Thailand and Myanmar) for 3 years where she worked as an English teacher. She has two kids named Zeya and Zyla and they are her world. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends.
